Rare Grumpy Pallas's Cat Captured on Camera Trap

Majid Batebi, an Iranian nature enthusiast, has captured rare footage of a Pallas's cat using a camera trap near his home. This elusive feline, known locally as "manul," is famous for its grumpy expression, but also for its rounded ears, unique pupils, and thick fur. The cat, roughly the size of a domestic house cat, possesses the densest fur of any feline species, providing insulation against extreme cold. Batebi has previously used camera traps to document other wildlife, including gray wolves and Bezoar ibex, near Mount Damavand.
