How LensDigest reports, summarizes and corrects
The publication separates original editorial work from attributed source summaries, and applies a different standard to each.
Attribution and source summaries
The daily edition draws on reporting, reviews, videos and official announcements from across the photography and filmmaking industry. Every source summary names the publisher and links directly to the original item. Readers should visit that source for the complete reporting, test methodology and creator’s full argument.
Summaries are written to preserve the source’s central claim and useful technical detail without presenting another publisher’s work as LensDigest reporting. These individual summary pages are kept out of search indexes; the daily editions remain searchable as the editorial record of what LensDigest selected and how the day’s stories fit together.
Original reporting and analysis
An article is labeled as LensDigest original work only when it has been separately commissioned or written for the publication. Original features are expected to consult primary material where available, distinguish confirmed facts from interpretation and link readers to a comprehensive source list when the subject calls for one.
Product analysis should reflect real production concerns: image pipeline, recording formats, exposure practice, ergonomics, reliability, post-production and the trade-offs that affect working crews. Specifications are checked against current manufacturer documentation before publication.
Automation and editorial responsibility
LensDigest uses software-assisted workflows to discover, organize and summarize a large volume of source material. Automation does not convert a source summary into original reporting, and the original publisher remains clearly credited. LensDigest is responsible for what appears on the site and will correct material errors when they are identified.
Images
Original LensDigest articles use original photography, official press assets, properly licensed material or clearly identified source imagery. We do not use generative imagery to illustrate our photography and videography editorial articles. Captions and credits are retained where supplied or required.
Corrections
Accuracy corrections are made in the article itself. Material changes may also be noted with the date and nature of the correction. To report an error, email cameragearweb@gmail.com with the article link and the detail that needs review.
Commercial independence
Coverage is selected for editorial relevance. Any sponsorship, paid placement or material commercial relationship affecting a story would be labeled clearly. Press access and review material do not guarantee positive coverage.
