Elsewhere, Nikon has patented a dual-group focusing system intended to enable the creation of more compact, bright aperture lenses. The patent describes two optical element groups moving independently along different paths during focusing. Separately, Venus Optics has introduced the Laowa 17mm f/4 Zero-D tilt-shift lens, priced at $1249, and two unusual macro probe zoom lenses: a 15-24mm T8 and a 15-35mm T12, costing $9999 for the pair.
