Samyang Awaits Nikon Z Mount License for Autofocus Lenses

Samyang has indicated that it will not produce autofocus lenses for Nikon's Z mount until it receives an official license. This stance comes amidst legal actions taken by Nikon against other third-party manufacturers like Viltrox, Sirui, and Meike concerning alleged patent infringements, particularly with autofocus lenses. While some manufacturers like Tamron and Sigma have licensed Z-mount lenses, Samyang's current Z-mount offerings are manual-focus only. The company remains busy with production for other mounts like Sony E and L-mount.
