Photographer Creates Custom Light Pen for Drawing with Light

Photographer Darren Pearson, also known as Dariustwin, has created a specialized light pen called the "Night-Writer" for his long-standing practice of light painting. After nearly two decades of creating viral light art, Pearson designed the pen to be a precise, intuitive tool with 11 colors and adjustable brightness, collaborating with engineers to bring it to life. The Night-Writer, which has already sold out its first run, aims to function more like an illustration marker than a flashlight. Pearson, inspired by Picasso's light drawings, sees light painting as an under-explored photographic genre with significant potential.
