Keith Armstrong's Disability Rights Movement Archive Now Publicly Accessible

An archive of over 500 photographs by Keith Armstrong, an activist who documented Britain's disability rights movement from within, has been discovered and made publicly accessible. Armstrong, shooting from his wheelchair with an Olympus camera, captured protests and direct actions that contributed to the Disability Discrimination Act of 1995. His intimate, ground-level perspective offers a powerful, often overlooked view of the movement's history. The collection is now available for free use through the National Disability Movement Archive and Collection.
