SUMMARY

A landscape photography trip to Goblin Valley and Arches National Park in Utah was significantly impacted by dense wildfire smoke and falling ash. The author initially feared the photos were unsalvageable but found success using Adobe Camera Raw's Dehaze slider to remove atmospheric haze. For further enhancement, Luminar Neo was employed for its sky replacement capabilities and Light Depth feature to restore lost detail and complexity. While not perfect, these post-processing techniques allowed for the recovery of approximately 12 images that would have otherwise been unusable.
