NASA has launched the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope (Roman), a new galactic imaging device designed to unravel mysteries of dark energy and exoplanets. Unlike the Hubble and James Webb telescopes which focus on precise regions, Roman acts as a wide-angle lens, capturing panoramic views of the cosmos with its Wide Field Instrument. Its 288MP near-infrared camera offers a field of view 50 times larger than Webb's and 100 times larger than Hubble's, expected to photograph over a billion galaxies and map billions of stars in its ten-year mission.
