Leica has introduced the APO-Macro-Elmarit-SL 100mm f/2.8, its first macro lens for the L-mount SL mirrorless camera system. This new lens, designed with a full-metal body, offers a lifesize magnification and a minimum focusing distance of 29cm. Based on a 1987 DSLR lens design, it features 17 elements in 12 groups and will be available by the end of 2026 for $2,700 / £2,100.
