James Webb Space Telescope has captured new infrared images of the Lion Nebula (NGC 2392)

NASA has released new images of the Lion Nebula, also known as NGC 2392, captured by the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). These infrared images, taken with the NIRCam and MIRI instruments, provide a level of detail surpassing previous observations by the Hubble Space Telescope. The images highlight features like compact dust clumps and ionized gas, aiding astronomers in understanding how low-mass stars evolve and shape the universe. The nebula, the core of a dying star, is estimated to disperse over the next 10,000 years.
