Photographer Captures Northern Lights and Meteor in Single Frame

Astrophotography combines planning, technique, and luck, as demonstrated when a photographer captured the Northern Lights and a Perseid meteor in the same frame. While the Northern Lights require ideal conditions, Perseid meteors are visible for an extended period, peaking August 12-13. The photographer used the affordable Venus Optics Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D manual-focus lens on a Fujifilm X-T4 to achieve the shot, which included the lights reflected on a lake and a meteor near the top edge of the frame. This was accomplished without image stacking, capturing multiple night sky phenomena in one exposure.
