Lightweight Anamorphic Lenses for Modern Filmmakers

DZOfilm has launched the Arcana series, a new line of full-frame 1.5x hybrid anamorphic lenses weighing under 700g each. These lenses are engineered for modern filmmakers working with gimbals or in fast-paced, single-operator setups where weight is critical. The Arcana series aims to deliver the visual characteristics of 2x anamorphic lenses, such as waterfall bokeh and horizontal flares, while minimizing common issues like "anamorphic mumps" distortion. The series debuts with 32mm, 45mm, and 75mm focal lengths, all featuring a T2.1 aperture and a uniform 80mm front diameter, with PL mount as standard and other mounts available separately. Their consistent dimensions and balanced center of gravity make them ideal for gimbal use, and they are also compatible with the Ronin 4D LiDAR focus system for autofocus capabilities.
