Nikon Plena 135mm f/1.8 Lens for Bird Photography

The author experimented with the Nikon Plena 135mm f/1.8 portrait lens for bird photography, inspired by its release. While initially planning to capture Atlantic Puffins with fish, access restrictions and the birds' small size made close-up shots difficult. The lens's perspective differs from traditional telephoto lenses, offering a more three-dimensional rendering, but the author remains uncertain if this justifies its use over longer lenses for wildlife.
