Voigtländer Lenses Discontinued in Japan

Cosina Japan has announced the end of production for six Voigtländer lenses across Nikon Z and Leica M mounts. These premium optics, known for blending classic design with modern compatibility, will only be available until existing stock is sold out. The discontinuation appears to be a product line refinement, with some lenses being replaced by updated versions. Notably, one of the discontinued lenses, the 28mm f/1.5 Vintage Aspherical Type I, was only launched in 2024. While certain Type II versions remain in production, the affected lenses will no longer be manufactured for the Japanese market.
