The RX10 V keeps a broad 24–600mm equivalent zoom in one body. Subject recognition, a larger battery and faster video give the long-running bridge design more current controls. Its 1-inch sensor and fixed lens still determine the image-quality and lens-choice limits.
Sony specifies a narrower view at 4K/120p without giving a crop factor in the launch material. Complete codec, recording-limit and card-requirement details have not yet been verified.
Gordon Laing found the zoom range useful across travel and wildlife subjects, with pleasing results throughout its range.
