The MISSION 1 PRO ILS uses a 1-inch sensor and open-gate recording for shots that need several final aspect ratios. The interchangeable mount adds lens choice, with a more involved focusing workflow and less water protection than the fixed-lens models.

Sam Kieldsen tested a loaned Laowa 7.5mm f/2 manual prime for a week. He liked the control and close-focusing possibilities, but found the camera more demanding than a fixed-lens GoPro. His Panasonic 12–60mm zoom would not focus properly; lens compatibility needs checking individually.
