X100VI

Fujifilm

Catalogue release year:

The X100VI retained the X100 series’ fixed 23mm lens and hybrid viewfinder while moving to a 40-megapixel sensor. In-body stabilisation was another practical change, especially for slower shutter speeds with subjects that stayed still.

Laing considered stabilisation a more useful everyday improvement than the increase in resolution alone. His slow-shutter examples concerned static scenes: stabilisation can reduce camera shake, but it cannot stop a moving subject.
