The EC35 is a reusable 35mm film camera with fixed exposure settings. Film is wound and rewound manually, and the sliding cover locks the shutter when closed. The inexpensive acrylic lens and fixed f/10 aperture make good light and sensible film choice particularly important.
Stapley enjoyed the small body and sliding lens cover, but found lens sharpness limited. After shooting Kodak ColorPlus 200 in London and Valencia, he questioned the ongoing cost of film for such soft results. He preferred the half-frame H35N for economical casual shooting.
