Two major camera companies, DJI and Insta360, have initiated patent infringement lawsuits against each other in the United States. This legal dispute comes shortly after Insta360 unveiled its new Luna gimbal camera series. Elsewhere, Panasonic has suspended firmware version 2.0 for the Lumix S9 via its Lumix Labs app due to a bug. While app-based wireless updates are halted, users can still update the camera using a traditional computer method. Separately, Photographer Thomas Heaton addresses the common saying that "gear doesn't matter" in photography. He contends that while skill and vision are paramount, the equipment used undeniably influences the final image.
