Rare Antarctic Sea Creature Photographed Underwater with Macro Lens

Summary

Photographer Justin Hofman has captured what may be the first underwater images of a Ross seal in Antarctica. Despite not having his preferred wide-angle lens and using a 90mm macro on his Sony A1, Hofman adapted to document the elusive creature. Videographer Ayla Townsend also recorded footage of the seals. The expedition's ability to reach this remote location was unfortunately facilitated by climate change.
